cand get splittextField to work

I am sorry to say that I seem to miss the basics in understanding the splitTextField plugin, I am attaching a very basic file and I can't even seem to get that to work, could you help me out?
what am I doing wrong, I downloaded the right plugins , Thanks,

The biggest problem was that you weren't passing a TextField to SplitTextField - you were passing a MovieClip. Also, I'd recommend embedding the fonts, using "anti-alias for animation", and don't auto kern the TextField. I've attached a revised FLA. Note that some bugs in Flash occasionally cause odd rendering of certain fonts (this is completely out of my control and is not caused by any bugs in SplitTextField)
